MojaveMike: The USA is sending a patriot air-defense system to Ukraine. The missiles for the system cost something like $1M each. Many of the missiles it will attempt to shoot down cost a fraction of that. The irony of ironies is that the Russians will destroy the patriot system shortly after the first time it gets used. What a colossal waste of money!

Billions of dollars worth of equipment has been lost by the Ukrainians while Russia has used tactics which preserve manpower and equipment. Russia has waged an incredibly efficient and intelligent military campaign from a tactical and strategic point of view. Meanwhile Ukraine just keeps sending it's soldiers (now as young as sixteen) to die in the meat grinder.
