Riot of Colors: Blooming tulip fields filmed by drone
This is the best use of a drone I've ever seen featuring tons of tulips!

Beautiful tulips! Not surprising that the video was made in the Netherlands. After all, they are famous for tulips! Next to roses, tulips are probably my favorite flowers!

panamint_patty: That's just about the most unusual looking monstrosity mother nature has ever devised. At the same time it is quite pretty. What do they call it?

panamint_patty: I think it's time for you to reveal the identity of that plant. Inquisitive minds want to know! And that includes myself and hungrybill!

tronagirl: They're called elephant heads and there's more info on dvplants.com under the Other Plants tab. I'd give you a link, but I'm on my phone and don't want to mess with it right now.

panamint_patty: Elephant heads makes sense. They have ears and tusks plain as can be. I found the info page and it looks like they grow up in the mountains. I'll have to look for them next time I get up high where the air is thin!

Here's one you'll never figure out. It's a close up of a part of a flower and the flower is tiny to begin with!
