FOREST MANAGEMENT POLICIES AND AIR QUALITYThe excuse is climate change. The actual reason is irresponsible forest management policies. Put substantial effort into brush removal, clearing of downed trees, and the construction of firebreaks, and maybe a few more similar things and fires will be contained quickly. The big payoff will be cleaner air. Lots of people have breathing issues and poor air quality causes these people to suffer
UNNECESSARILY. Put as much money into prevention of forest fires as is spent on fighting forest fires and after five to ten years the amount spent on fighting them will drop considerably! It will take time to make up for decades of failure to deal with the issue.
