The Only Known Wild Jaguar In The US Caught On Camera In Rare Video This guy lives south of Tucson. Apparently there are more jaguars south of the border, but most have been killed off in the southwest USA.
Jaguars: The last wild jaguar was seen in California near Palm Springs on Mount San Jacinto in 1860. I believe they were also present in Texas and New Mexico a bit later than that, but didn't last long. I'm not sure how strong the population is down in Mexico, but at least there are some down there.
