Wildlife

If it's not about plants, but it is about the natural environment of Death Valley, then this is the place to post your info or question.

twister: I've camped at Convict Lake a few times and have had guests such as the ones in the video you posted visit my campsite. I've always been careful not to feed them though since I don't want to be part of the problem. Wildlife should remain wild and feeding them hurts them in the long run.

3 Killed When SUV Crashes Into Bear
Although we aren't likely to run into any bears out here in the desert, there are plenty of donkeys around and they are more likely to wander onto roads than are bears.

Mountain lion crossing recommended for I-15
These things are expensive! If they can be paid for through voluntary contributions, then I'm in favor of allowing them to be built.

1 man dead, 1 injured after mountain lion attack
Several people in the comments recommend carrying bear spray when in mountain lion territory. That seems like a good idea if you ask me.

Mystery creature shot in Montana puzzles experts
It's either a wolf that crossbred with some large canine or coyote, or maybe just a weird mutant. Unusual appearance one way or the other.

House passes bill to undo gray wolf protection
I'm not a big fan of wolves. Their populations should be kept at a minimal level so as not to pose a threat to humans or to interfere with human activity. They should be eliminated entirely from most areas IMHO.
