When your home is smart, will leaks go away?
At $800 for one of these gadgets, I don't think most people will be interested. The info might be interesting, but there's no way it would help you to save enough water to be worth the price. They claim that you can save $300 per year through use of the gadget, but that's completely unrealistic. It might be possible to save that much in a decade, but you could save just as much without one of these gadgets by just using as little water as possible!

Sierra plans back-to-back weekends in fresh snowfall
It will take a remarkable end of February and all of March to escape drought status, but let's keep our fingers crossed!

Sierra snowpack has nearly tripled in one month, DWR says
It was looking really bad up through February and then a good March helped a lot. We're still low, but it's not a disaster.

Experts expect that there will be more drought years and more years with extremely high rainfall. They're calling this a weather whiplash for some reason. Apparently during the Great Flood of 1862 the Central Valley turned into an inland sea about 250 miles long. Weather experts suggest that we could see events such as this with greater frequency during upcoming decades.

I wonder if the Great Flood of 1862 had anything to do with Global Warming caused by humankind.

Ballot measure aims to help Californians conserve water :roll2:
Saving rainwater here probably won't do an "ounce" of good. However, it's a good idea in places where it actually rains!

First Snow Survey Of 2019 Set For Today
Below average, but not a disaster and the good news is that there are storms approaching! Locally it doesn't look like a whole lot, but up in the mountains is where it counts!

According to this we're sort of almost kind of out of the drought.

I think CA needs to get into the mindset that there is always a drought.

Perhaps liberals should go around spraying lawns with Roundup during all this rain to simulate drought conditions so that we don't get used to too much greenery...
