Fact vs. fiction: Summer health hazards
It's that time of year again! Hopefully CrustyOldFart will keep track of consecutive days over 100F again! Last year the tally was 77 consecutive days in a row above the century mark from the end of June to the beginning of September.

The more deer, the more ticks and the more ticks the greater the chances of Lyme disease. So does that mean we should just kill all the deer?

Lake Isabella water level getting close to "minimum recreation pool"
Here's a report from a couple years ago (June 30, 2015) that shows the water level so low that people in Kernville were worried about going out of business due to lack of tourism.

Sunday: 120
Monday: 121
Tuesday: 115
Wednesday: 120
