Legalize The Weed!

If it's not about plants, but it is about the natural environment of Death Valley, then this is the place to post your info or question.

Money That Smells Like Weed Gets Man Arrested
Complete lack of evidence. No reasonable way to say that he was guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. FALSE CONVICTION!!!

Bill O'Reilly OUTRAGED Over Marijuana Journalism
It's great that Colorado has legalized weed and is normalizing it by writing about it in newspapers the same way that wine critics have columns in which they talk about different varieties of wine and that sort of thing. It seems like an enhancement of culture, not something to get all upset about, to me!

Bill O'Reilly is such a blowhard! Writing about pot is no different than writing about wine or beer or tobacco. There's a lot to know on each topic and it's posible to be a connoisseur of any of them. Fine weed is just as awesome as fine wine or a good beer. Bill O'Reilly needs to learn to appreciate the finer things in life!

Marijuana for foodies :talk:
They're pioneers launching new businesses at the end of an era of cannabis prohibition. More power to them!

The Dumbest Thing Ever Said About Weed
Why is it not surprising that the stupidest thing ever said about weed was said by Nancy Grace? Cenk actually says, "Nancy Grace is a moron of the highest order!"

House votes to restrict DEA marijuana raids :smokin:
The deal is not done, but this is a surprising step in the right direction. Every once in a while our representatives actually do something that reflects the will of the people. I'm not saying that there is light at the end of the tunnel, but there a faint glimmer of hope.
The U.S. House of Representatives did something overnight that Congress has never done. The House passed an amendment late Thursday night to restrict the Drug Enforcement Administration from targeting medical marijuana operations in states where it is legal. The 219-189 decision came on a bipartisan appropriations amendment spearheaded by California Republican Rep. Dana Rohrabacher and California Democrat Sam Farr. The amendment still faces several procedural hurdles before it is ratified, but this is the first time such an amendment has succeeded in the House. The roll call on the vote is here. Note that it passed largely with Democratic support – the vast majority of Dems voted for it; a clear majority of Republicans voted against it – but the measure was backed by a bipartisan group of co-sponsors.
